Message from Lynn:
Dear Friends:
The month of December marks the beginning of the Holiday Season. It is a magical time of the year when children make their wish lists and parents brave the stores looking for last-minute bargains. But before you warm the hot chocolate and hang the stockings with care, you should not forget about that other not-so-magical time of the year…tax time. April 15 may be the most memorable tax day of the year but by following the advice in this month's MoneyWI$E newsletter, you can ensure that you will be receiving more than a lump of coal and a large tax bill in 2004.
The December issue of MoneyWI$E will give you tips on achieving fiscal fitness in 2004, explore the benefits of donating property to your favorite charity, examine creating a family foundation and finally, reviewing the CPAs guide for gift giving.
As always, if you have any suggestions for story ideas please email them to me at lynn@treasurer.state.ks.us
and I will be happy to consider them for an upcoming issue.
Please remember to tell a friend about this exciting new service from the Kansas State Treasurer's
