Message from Lynn:
Dear Friends:
Disasters are a fact of life and while we may not be able to predict them, there are steps that we can take to better prepare and recover from them. In our state alone, Kansans have been the victim of droughts, flooding and the ever-present tornado. But with the proper planning, you will be able to avoid making a natural disaster, a personal and financial one.
The October issue of MoneyWI$E will outline what to do when disaster strikes, what the government can do to help and eight simple steps to rebuilding your finances once a tragedy occurs. These steps are also helpful for those individuals who are facing divorce or the loss of a spouse or job. Finally, we will get to the bottom of Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) and answer some of your most frequently asked questions.
As always, if you have any suggestions for story ideas please email them to me at lynn@treasurer.state.ks.us
and I will be happy to consider them for an upcoming issue.
Please remember to tell a friend about this exciting new service from the Kansas State Treasurer's
