Message from Lynn:
Dear Friends:
It is said that the "home is where the heart is" and while this is true, it is also true that increasingly the home is where the family investment is too. As interest rates have declined, the desire to purchase a home or refurbish an existing one has been very appealing. This month, it is all about the home. May's MoneyWI$E articles will examine the tax implications of selling your home, pros and cons of borrowing against your home, must-ask mortgage questions and insuring your home-based business.
It is a pleasure to serve as your Kansas State Treasurer. I would love to hear from you so feel free to e-mail me at lynn@treasurer.state.ks.us and don't forget to tell a friend about this educational service!
